Jericho Road Port Alberni

Nicky hasn't been a part of a church for almost two years. She grew up with a great church but as her movement disorders worsened she could no longer access the church she grew up in. The mobility concerns she faced at church heightened her anxiety with each visit until she could no longer attend church.

Nicky had recently been told by a friend that her old middle school is now a church and her staff arranged a visit! This afternoon Nicky was given a tour of her old school (now Jericho Road Church) by Glenda. Glenda was very welcoming and accommodating (staying late so we could visit). Nicky checked out the worship area, washrooms, kitchen, and gym. This must be the most wheelchair accessible church in Port Alberni. The double doors and wide hallways easily accommodate Nicky's wide wheelchair.

Pastor Dave stopped by to say hello, we also learnt some exciting news about a new Youth pastor who would be joining the church soon and to to it all off - They have homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies! Nicky was invited to come back on a Sunday and is looking forward to going back!
